Aluthkade Streetfood
Colombo's Trendy Culinary Domain
Every country's street food is a hint of its local ingredients, cooking methods, culture, and its religious beliefs. Aluthkade's food is a delightful reflection of Middle Eastern cuisine - aligned with the needs of the local Sri Lankan Muslim community that has lived here for decades. Aluthkade can be entered from the Fort area via Mihindu Mawatha, from there turn left to Armor Street main road and then Bandaranayake Road - opposite Mascons Limited to reach Armor Street.

Aluhtkade is not only food. There are carts selling drinks. The king of the list is a special drink called koowath - an improved version of badam milk. Ah, again badam is the word for almond. There are 16 amazing ingredients packed into a chilled glass of unique Koowath fresh milk. There are variations of fruit juice, falooda, and other mocktails.
